Professor Yang Tingbao, also known by his courtesy name asRenhui, was a renowned Chinese architect and architectural educator, who founded the architectural discipline at Southeast University. To honor his academic legacy, on the occasion of Prof. Yang Tingbao’s 120th anniversary in 2021, the School of Architecture at Southeast University launched the "Renhui Forum". This ongoing initiative invites leading scholars and architects from China and abroad to give lectures, advancing academic excellence, nurturing emerging talents, and promoting the development of architecture and architectural education in China.
The upcoming lecture will feature Christopher Marcinkoski, Associate Professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. The lecture will be held both at the venue and via livestream.

Of Public Realm Practice
本次讲座“公共领域的实践”将深入探讨并反思位于费城与芝加哥的“PORT都市主义”建筑事务所近年作品。该事务所的项目尺度多元——从精巧的城市家具到区域规划均有涉猎，尤以大型城市公园见长，始终致力于为各类规模的社区打造兼具人文魅力与环境韧性的卓越公共空间。凭借遍布美国各地的在建项目，PORT事务所自2017年以来已斩获包括美国建筑师协会（AIA）、美国景观设计师协会（ASLA）、纽约建筑联盟、沃尔顿家族基金会设计卓越计划及哥伦布地标基金会等机构颁发的40余项设计大奖。
“Of Public Realm Practice” will explore and reflect on recent work of the Philadelphia and Chicago-based PORT Urbanism. With projects ranging in scale from bespoke urban furniture to regional plans—with a particular focus on large urban parks—PORT’s work is committed to the provision of charismatic, compelling public realm for the communities large and small in which the practice is fortunate to work. With ongoing projects across the United States, PORT is the recipient of more than 40 design awards since 2017 from organizations including the AIA, ASLA, Architectural League of New York, Walton Family Foundation Design Excellence Program, and Landmark Columbus Foundation.
